Dried Pumpkin

Useful vegetable fiber, with modest digestive proof

Dried pumpkin is pumpkin fruit with most of its water removed, often ground into powder. It adds plant fiber to dog food. Its reputation for treating diarrhea, constipation and poor gut health goes further than studies of dried pumpkin alone support.

Fresh pumpkin contains a great deal of water. Food processors remove seeds, cut the pulp and dry it for storage and use in recipes. Pumpkin seed meal comes from a separate oil-processing stream.3,4,5

    Puts pumpkin on labels

    Brands promote pumpkin for digestion. Naming the vegetable on a bag supports that message, although the ingredient list does not disclose how much the recipe contains.7,8
